Jet-Cut film is only 7-9 micrometres thick. A micrometre (μm) equals one thousandth of a millimetre, or 0.001 mm. An average European hair is around 70μm – in other words, 10 times thicker than our film. This explains the fact that such ultra-lightweight plastic can cover and protect a very large area. One square metre of film weighs no more than 9 grams.

Sous-vide

Tried it yet? Season roughly 3cm-thick pieces of meat (beef, pork or veal) and simply wrap them in Jet-Cut film before cooking in warm water (55 – 65°C) for around 90 minutes. This technique is extremely energy efficient, not even the tiniest amount of aroma escapes and the meat comes out wonderfully tender. Naturally, it works just as well with vegetables.
